Faith Builders Academy

Faith Builders Academy (FBA)

Faith Builders Academy was started on a cold rainy day in Panera by two homeschool graduates with a love for God and children. TPA needed a children’s program for their annual convention, so we joined hands and put FBA into action. It is our desire to be examples of Christ and let His light shine as we serve together. If you have questions or woud like to volunteer, please contact

Mission Statement:

Faith Builders Academy (FBA), a ministry of the Teaching Parents Association, was created to show children the love of Christ, teach them The Truth, build their faith, and encourage their walk with God.  FBA's mission is to be an extension of TPA's mission to homeschool families, to support homeschooling parents, to plant the seeds of salvation and build the faith of children.

Hannah is a 2014 homeschool graduate and was homeschooled her whole life. She is currently working on receiving her business degree and working full-time. She has been volunteering with TPA for 8 years and has been involved for 16 years.  This will be her second year helping to lead FBA. She has a heart for children and loves teaching others about the love of Christ and building them up in their faith. “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” – Colossians 3:16

Cassie has always been a child at heart and is full of energy and enthusiasm!  She has been part of children’s ministries for over 6 years, including assisting and directing a preschool choir, Mother’s Helper, and childcare for co-ops and Bible studies.  Her most recent adventure involved living in a tent for a month while serving junior high and high school kids at Extreme Kansas Camp.  Since graduating in 2015, she has pursued a full-time job at Chick-fil-A.  Diabetes has not slowed her down, as Cassie also volunteers with a therapeutic riding center and is always looking for ways to dabble in her many hobbies!

“We walk by faith, and not by sight.” -2 Cor. 5:7

If nothing goes right, go left!

She enjoys organizing things or people and loves when she gets an opportunity to be creative and use her talents for ministry. She is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and works for a homeschooling website, doing customer service and editing. She is extremely social and loves people deeply. RYAN DUNN – Support Crew Manager

I have been homeschooled my entire time in school except for my time at Wichita State University, which I graduated from in December 2016. TPA has always been a part of my homeschool experience. I was involved with Faith Builders Academy last year and am excited to see what this year brings. My prayer is that this program will be a tool of salvation for kids and their families.“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

CALEB NEU – Drama Director

Caleb Neu has been around TPA on and off since he was little. Caleb is very excited to start his second year as Drama Director for FBA. He is a Trained vocalist, and even went out to LA and won some international competitions. He performed with Christian Youth Theater, then came back and taught some classes for them! He loves to act, sing and tap dance for the Lord. He can't wait to see what God has in store for the year!

DJ Marcolesco -  Communication Supervisor

DJ is a 2017 Wichita State University graduate with a Computer Science degree, and was homeschooled through high school. He has been working as a software developer for 5 years, and is currently working for a local startup company in the tech industry. He loves helping others learn and understand difficult concepts in simple ways. He has previously assisted in children’s programs such as Awana and VBS, and is excited to be a part of FBA this year. With his technology background, he will be helping manage the tech and communication resources of the leadership team.

Jake Reimer - Logistics Supervisor

Jake was born and raised in Wichita and graduated from Kansas State University. He works as a mechanical engineer for Viking Corporation. He is a deep thinker and enjoys problem solving and creating things. In his spare time he enjoys playing sports (ultimate frisbee, basketball, disc golf, and volleyball), music, movies, and spending time with the people he loves.

One of his favorite passages is 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 which says “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.” He likes it because it shows many things God wants a man to be and do, and it can be applied to his life in countless ways.
